The new space, situated at entrance 2, reflects the centre’s commitment to improving access and transport ease, while making the overall journey comfortable for its shoppers.

Designed to offer a seamless connection between shopping and travel, the lounge features ample seating, free Wi-Fi, charging points, and space for shopping trolleys. Whether customers are finishing up errands or simply waiting for their pickup, the lounge will provide a relaxed setting in a high-traffic area of the centre.
“At Eastgate, we understand the importance of a seamless transportation experience for our customers,” says Saadiyah Kahn, General Manager at Eastgate. “The E-Hailing lounge is just one of the services we are working on improving in our transport links to and from the centre, as we understand that ease of entry and exit plays a role in the overall shopping experience.”

The lounge is open daily from 7 AM until 10 PM and is located near one of the centre’s busiest entrances, allowing easy access for both drivers and passengers. The initiative forms part of a broader strategy to enhance customer touchpoints and create well-considered spaces that respond to evolving shopper needs.
