Standard Bank and the Vaal University of Technology are officially launching the VUT HYDROGEN CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE, a significant step forward for South African green hydrogen economy. The launch will be held on the 4th September 2025 at the Vanderbiltpark campus, this initiative marks the beginning of a transformative that advances clean energy, empowers students, and drives economic growth in the Vaal triangle and beyond. Dr Narissa Ramdhani, Director of Resource Mobilization, will welcome the guests, highlighting the centre’s role in shaping the future of green energy.
The centre will serve as a research and collaboration hub, bringing students, faculty, and industry leadership together to pioneer hydrogen energy solution.
